Fact-Checking Policy
a) Taazaplanet hereby affirms its unwavering dedication to the dissemination of precise and reliable information throughout its content. To uphold this commitment, diligent measures are undertaken, including the thorough scrutiny of claims with skepticism, the interrogation of assumptions, and the rigorous examination of conventional wisdom.
b) We hereby declare our steadfast commitment to attaining requisite accuracy in all our publications. This commitment stands as a cornerstone of our reputation and the confidence bestowed upon us by our audience. The term ‘due’ denotes that accuracy must be sufficient and suitable for the specific output, considering the subject matter and characteristics of the content, and explicitly acknowledging any constraints that may impact this expectation.
c) This dictates that all our publications, commensurate with their content and nature, shall be meticulously substantiated, grounded in accessible evidence, and validated. We endeavor to uphold transparency and candor regarding areas of uncertainty, eschewing unwarranted conjecture.
d) Our journalists pledge never to engage in deliberate plagiarism or distortion of facts or context, including knowingly manipulating visual information.
e) We diligently pursue independent verification from sources to authenticate claims, information, and allegations, particularly those proffered by public officials or individuals harboring agendas beyond impartial reporting. Claims, allegations, pivotal
facts, and other content lacking corroborative evidence are typically attributed accordingly.
d) Taazaplanet affirms its unwavering endorsement of the accuracy of the information it disseminates. In the event of substantiated contradiction, we expeditiously amend the news item/information. We do not intentionally substantially mislead our audience, nor do we manipulate facts or present fabricated material as truth, actions which could erode trust in our content. We promptly recognize and rectify significant factual inaccuracies with clarity and appropriateness.
e) We afford the public a fair avenue to report any inaccuracies or errors in our publications through the ‘Suggest A Correction’ section, prominently featured after each web story.
f) Our journalists bear primary responsibility for the reporting, writing, and meticulous fact-checking of stories. All stories undergo scrutiny by one or more editors. Taazaplanet maintains a multi-tiered fact-checking framework for stories necessitating thorough examination. The seniority level of editors reviewing a story before publication varies based on considerations such as complexity, sensitivity, and time constraints.
